Every year, Carleton University awards $21.5 million in scholarships and bursaries to local and international students, totalling approximately 12,000 individual scholarships.

Students admitted from high school with an academic average performance of above 80% are eligible for an entrance scholarship starting at $4,000 over the period of four years, with $1,000 disbursed annually. The amount students receive increases gradually with their admission average, with students attaining an average above 95% receiving $16,000 over the period of four years. However, students have to maintain atleast 10.0 CGPA (A-) year-to-year in order to retain their scholarship

Beyond automatic entrance scholarships, the Carleton University also awards 24 Prestige Scholarships, which is arguably the highest institutional scholarships awarded by the institution. New and returning students must submit a supplementary application, in addition to an admission average above 90% in order to be eligible and awarded this scholarship.

Carleton University Library

The Univesity has one of the best school libraries in the Country. The MacOdrum Library has served as Carleton’s central library and archives for over Fifty decades. The library was named after the former Carleton President and Vice-Chancellor Murdoch Maxwell MacOdrum.
