Commonly called “CapU” Capilano University is a teaching-focused public university based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, In addition, the institution is sited in a natural forested setting on the slopes of the North Shore Mountains, with scenery that also serves the Sea-to-Sky Corridor and the Sunshine Coast. International Students Scholarships Minimum Eligibility Criteria
The following minimum eligibility criteria apply to all scholarships administered by Financial Aid & Awards at Capilano University unless otherwise specified:
- Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Landed Immigrant
- Must have obtained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 at Capilano University
- Attained a completion of a minimum of 9 credits at the 100level or higher at Capilano University.
- Should be in a current enrolment in a minimum of 9 credits at the 100level or higher at Capilano University.
- You must attain at least an 80% admission GPA for entrance awards unless otherwise specified.
- Not applicable for entrance awards.
- Six credits for students registered with Accessibility Services at Capilano University.

Name: Capilano Excellence Scholarship (CAPX)

Award Description:
Capilano Excellence Scholarships (CAPX) are the premier entrance scholarships awarded by Capilano University. These scholarships are awarded to high school graduates (or equivalent) who have demonstrated excellence in academics and other endeavors and who have shown leadership in their school and community.
Scholarships Value: Up to $40,000
Renewable for up to three additional academic years (total of eight terms).
Number of Awards: Up to ten annually.

Initial Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
- You must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 (80%), as determined by the University;
- Open to international students.
- Must be proven to demonstrate leadership skills.

- You must be registered in a minimum of 12 credits at the 100 level or higher at Capilano University in the fall term following the scholarship selection or in the term during which your program starts if other than the fall term;

Scholarship Renewal Eligibility Criteria:
- You must subsequently obtain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.

Award Description: This Entrance Scholarship was established by Tanja Kot in memory of her husband, Anthony (Tony) Kot, a Windsor Secondary School graduate and football player who studied business at Capilano University.
The scholarship is meant to assist students entering Capilano University directly from Windsor who played on the Windsor football team or is entering a business program at Capilano University.
Selection Criteria:
- Application to Capilano University directly from Windsor Secondary School;
- You must be a student who played on the football team at Windsor Secondary School, or,
- in the event no eligible applicant meets this criterion, the student must be entering a business program at Capilano University;

Women in Technology and Indigenous Women in Technology
Scholarship Value: $10,000
Description: These two new scholarships are awarded annually by the Irving K. Barber BC Scholarship Society to acknowledge women and Indigenous women who are excelling in the study of engineering, mathematics, or computer science.

Ike Barber Transfer Scholarship
Scholarship Value: $5,000.
Description: It is open to students who, after completing one or two years of study at a BC public post-secondary institution, will transfer their credits into full-time studies at another public post-secondary institution in BC to complete their studies.

BC Indigenous Student Award
Scholarship Value: $1,000 to $5,000.
Description: This scholarship is open to Indigenous students pursuing post-secondary education at British Columbia public post-secondary institutions or Indigenous-run institutions.

Scholarship Value: $1,000 – $3,500.
Description: The scholarship award is open to students pursuing a study or work abroad program that:
1. is a formal part of a BC credential program and/or carry academic credit recognized at a BC educational institution, or
2. offers experiential learning opportunities involving language acquisition and/or cultural training.
