It was founded in 1912 as Concordia College but was later renamed the Concordia University of Edmonton in 1967. Concordia University is primarily funded by tuition and contributions from private donors, but also receives some limited funding from the Government of Alberta. Prior to its secularization in 2016, the higher institution of Edmonton was affiliated with the Lutheran Church–Canada.

Eligibility/Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the after degree program, you must have.,

  • A minimum CGPA of 2.30
  • Completion of 12 credits which are in English and other courses.
  • Work Experience Record.
  • Evidence of proficiency in computer knowledge
  • Those applying to the bachelor of education will present the English language proficiency result and Alberta requirements
  • Three or four-year baccalaureate degree from a recognized university.

Environmental Health

Eligibility/Requirements

  • Successful completion of 12 credits in Chemistry, microbiology, statistics and human or mammalian physiology.
  • A minimum CGPA of 2.30
  • A three- or four-year baccalaureate degree in science from a recognized university
  • English language proficiency result
  • A security clearance

Open Studies Student Admission

Eligibility/Requirements

To be eligible, you must

  • Fulfil the English Language requirements of the university.
  • Present official documents and transcripts
  • complete the prerequisite courses.

Visiting Students Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must submit an original visiting student letter from the Registrar

Bachelor Of Science

Eligibility/Requirements

To be eligible, you must

  • complete at least 6 credits of courses offered by the Departments of social sciences
  • complete a total of 120 credits.
  • Must complete a minimum of 6 credits at 400 level
  • Must take a minimum of 3 credits in 5 different disciplines.
  • Must have a minimum CGPA of 2.30
  • Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 in the 120 credits for graduation
  • Must take at least 42 credits from Science courses.

Graduate Programme General Admission Requirements

In other to be considered for the Faculty of Graduate Studies, you must present the following minimum requirements:

  • You must present a four-year baccalaureate degree from the Concordia University of Edmonton or its equivalent from a recognized institution internationally. Individual graduate programs may recommend applicants as qualifying/probationary students (e.g., those with three-year degrees).
  • You must have an admission grade point average (AGPA) of 3.0 (on Concordia University of Edmonton’s 4-point scale) or equivalent on the most recent 60 credits of undergraduate (or graduate) study.
  • Provide a fulfilment of your English Language Requirement. score.
