The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is an immigration program that allows foreign nationals or students who have worked in Canada for at least one year to immigrate permanently.

Canada Experience Class was created for individuals who have been living in Canada for some time, have good English or French proficiency, and have gained relevant work experience during their stay.

CEC applicants must:

  • Plan on living outside of the province of Quebec.
  • Must possess at least one year experience of professional work experience for a full-time or equivalent part-time within Three (3) years before applying.
  • Must meet the level of the language requirements for each language ability to speak, read, listen, and write.
  • Must possess a gained work experience that is suitably authorized

The Canadian Experience Class process

As a first step, the applicant should fill out the appropriate application forms online and be sure that each form is filled out accurately and completely. Furthermore, the applicant has to take a language test (i.e., IELTS or CLB) and include the test results along with the application.

For the next step, the applicant should pay the processing fees. While applying for a visa under Canada Experience Class, one has to include all information of family members or dependents who may be accompanying the applicant to Canada, as these members determine the total fees to be paid.

After paying the fees, the application will be evaluated based on the eligibility criteria. If in case, an applicant is found to be not eligible, then the application will be rejected, and the applicant will be refunded the fees. But, if an applicant is found eligible, the application will be sent for further processing.

For the final step, the individual has to apply, and before that, the applicant must ensure that the application form is correctly filled, including the supporting documents and the processing fees.
