Foreign Nationals And Employers Under Ontario Immigration Nominee Program-Oinp

Ontario government is calling for applications for permanent residency visa under OINP from 20th July. Qualified and interested International Students, Foreign Nationals and Employers are invited to apply for the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program-Oinp in Canada. The program is administered by the province of Ontario and seeks to nominate qualified foreign workers, international students and investors to Citizenship and Immigration Canada for Permanent Residence.

The Province of Ontario can nominate only 6000 applications from that of the international students and foreign workers under two categories which are, Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program and Ontario Express Entry. OINP is in charge of observing all applications in respect to the limit of 6000 applications and their righteousness perse. The acceptance of the application is subject to the allotted time in which the application has to be submitted. The applications are needed in order to be submitted via the online portal of OINP within twenty-one days of registering one’s profile.

Who is the Ontario Provincial Nominee Program-Program-Oinp for?

The Ontario program allows employers looking to recruit foreign workers to be pre-screened to hire their desired employees. Skilled foreign workers under the program will now be able to apply to the pre-screened employers for a permanent full-time job offer.

Students who have a job offer from a Canadian employer needs to fulfill the following requirements:

  • International student must possess a full-time degree or a diploma from a recognized public owned university in Canada while fulfilling all the relevant requirements of the said course.
  • The duration of the course should be a minimum of two years. Or a certificate of a postgraduate diploma or masters with a graduation degree in hand.
  • Applicants must have obtained the the degree before the postgraduate diploma or masters from outside the turf of Canada.
  • Half of the international student’s degrees must have been obtained from Canada.
  • The said student must have attained a full-time and steady job offer from a Canadian employer.
  • You should ensure that the job offer relies on the minimum wage structure defined for the said profession in the Province of Ontario. This is very important.
  • It is not compulsory to get a job in the same field of your educational qualification.
  • Within two years from the date of your Canadian degree, it is essential to apply for permanent residence.
