THE GRANVILLE EDUCATION FOUNDATION “WHO I AM” AND THE “WHAT I’VE DONE” SCHOLARSHIPS

The Granville Education Foundation is delighted to invite application for two scholarships to graduating seniors of the Granville Exempted Village School District.

In an effort to recognize creative thinking and innovative problem-solving amongst students, the Who I Am scholarship provides applicants the opportunity to provide creative representation of him/herself as a student.

The What I’ve Done Scholarship recognizes the student’s ability to develop and implement creative solutions to a problem. 

THE LEA ANN PARSLEY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

The Granville Community knows Lea Ann Parsley as an outstanding young woman. She is a woman with an exceptional quality and accomplishments, this award is created by her family, friends and supporters in her name and in her honor, intending her achievements not only to be an inspiration to the dreams and goals of other graduating students of Granville High School, but also to support some recipients in a more direct and tangible manner. This award is available to a graduating senior with a minimum 2.75 GPA who demonstrate the interest for higher learning, has lettered in at least one GHS sport, exhibited qualities of good sportsmanship in victory and defeat, and as a school ambassador, has shown themselves to be of good character/behaviour.

HOT LICKS BLUESFEST SCHOLARSHIP

  • The Bluesfest scholarship, sponsored by the Granville Federation for the Appreciation of the Blues, is awarded to a graduating senior with a minimum 2.0 GPA who have had significant involvement and experience in music during his or her high school years and either intends to enroll at a college or technical institution and major in music or will remain involved in music while attending college or a technical institution

Admission eligibility criteria for Granville College

To successfully gain admission for the Veterinary Technician Assistant and Veterinary Office Assistant Programs at Granville College, students must obtain the following:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent; transcript and resume required
  • OR a minimum of five years’ work experience; resume required
  • Must have 60% score on Granville College Entrance Evaluation
  • Must pass the Admission Interview

Granville Admission for International students

International students can also qualify for Granville College Scholarships And Awards For Graduating Seniors In Canada but after securing their admission. For International students, In addition To The Above One Or More Of The following:

  • A minimum of three years of full-time study at the secondary school level in an English language school system in a country where English is considered the primary language or the primary language of instruction and evaluation is English, with passing grades in all English courses;
  • Must have a minimum of two full years of successful study in an accredited university degree program or two full years of successful study in an accredited college diploma program in a country OR in a post-secondary institution where English is the primary language of instruction;
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of CBT 240 or iBT 91
  • OR International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6.5

International students must make ready a valid study visa and a valid work permit to complete the Veterinary Technician Assistant Program and practicum.

Graduation Requirements at Granville College

Before a student can graduate from Granville College, Vancouver, the student must

  • Score at least 70% or higher marks in  each course/module in the Diploma Program
