International Presidential Scholarships For Undergraduate Students In USA

International Presidential Scholarships For Undergraduate Students In USA

Eligibility Criteria: 

The scholarship is awarded to international students for the 2021 academic session. It is hosted in the United States of American and strictly for undergraduate students. To be considered for this award, international students must meet the following:

  • Must be an international first-year and transfer undergraduate students
  • You are not eligible for this scholarship if you are already receiving the Canadian resident tuition rate.
  • Sponsored students are not eligible for this award.

Selection Criteria:

The International Presidential Scholarship is awarded to the top tier of international applications each year. Female applicants and applicants from countries underrepresented in the University of Maine international student population are strongly encouraged to apply.

Value of Scholarship: $15,000

Duration of Scholarship: The scholarship has a maximum of 8 semesters (that is 4 academic years) for a student who is entering as a first-year applicant and 6 semesters (that is 3 academic years) for a transfer student.

How to Apply For The International Presidential Scholarships: 

Applicants are automatically considered for this scholarship when their application for admission is reviewed. There is no additional application required for this award.

Applicants are not required to submit SAT and ACT scores to be considered for this award.

Application deadline

There is no deadline for submitting an application. To be considered for the prize, applicants to the University of Maine do not need to submit a separate application.

Additionally, a student entering as a first-year applicant can receive the incentive for up to 8 semesters (4 academic years) and a transfer student can get the award for up to 4 semesters (2 academic years). To be eligible for the scholarship, recipients must be on a non-immigrant student visa, such as an F-1 or J-1.

Q. Can this award be combined with other scholarships?

Ans. No, you cannot combine the International Presidential Scholarship with any other international scholarship. Other UMaine scholarships, such as sports or departmental grants, are available to students.
