Manitoba PNP Draw Invites 277 Immigration Candidates

On July 9, Manitoba welcomed 277 immigration candidates to seek a provincial nomination.

The 277 immigration candidates that are invited can apply for a nomination through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

If they are granted it, the nomination will be used to support their final application for permanent residence in Canada.

Manitoba welcomed 277 immigration candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The following are the results of the latest draw:

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba— 201 invitations with a minimum Expression of Interest score of 445;
  • Skilled Workers Overseas— 53 invitations with a minimum Expression of Interest score of 703; and
  • International Education Stream — 23 invitations with no Expression of Interest score requirement.

Express Entry candidates received 48 invites, also known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs).

About Express Entry System

The Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program all use Express Entry as a management system for permanent residency applications for three federal high-skilled immigration programs.

By applying immediately through Express Entry, it is possible to bypass the PNP process and receive a permanent residency invitation.

Having a provincial nomination effectively ensures that Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada will ask you to apply for Canadian permanent residence, given the 600 point award.

When you submit your profile, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) ranks you based on characteristics such as your age, education, work experience, and language skills, among others.

Through regular Express Entry draws, the highest-scoring immigration candidates are invited to apply for permanent residency.

The first step in filing for a provincial nomination in Manitoba is to submit a profile to the Express Entry pool.

Manitoba Immigration Programs

The MPNP, which supports immigration applications to the federal government, is in charge of Manitoba’s immigration programs.

Provinces in Canada do not have the authority to grant permanent residency, although they can assist an application by giving provincial nominations.

To be considered for a nomination from Manitoba, you must first submit an Expression of Interest to the MPNP.

This qualifies you for an LAA through the Manitoba Skilled Workers and Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas programs.

Manitoba then assigns a score out of 1,000 to candidates based on their human capital and connections to the province.

The Skilled Workers Overseas Category and Skilled Workers in Manitoba streams are intended to help Manitoba find applicants who fit the province’s labor market requirements.

Candidates from outside of Manitoba must demonstrate ties to the province, such as close family ties, prior experience in the province, or an invitation through one of Manitoba’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives.

To be eligible, you do not need to live in Manitoba at the time of your application.

You must have a full-time employment offer from a provincial company to be eligible for an invitation under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category.

International graduates who complete their studies in Manitoba may be eligible for an invitation under the International Education Stream if they can demonstrate that they have in-demand skills.

Some Of The Essential Things You Need To Be Well Prepared About

Note: Candidates who were invited under the Express System sub-category but do not have a valid Express Entry ID, a valid job seeker validation code or evincible experience in an occupation on Manitoba’s in-demand occupation list will be rejected.

Expressions of interest candidates are not considered by the Manitoba government unless they were invited directly by the MPNP under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

It’s possible that your score is greater than the lowest-scoring candidate, but you haven’t obtained the letter of recommendation to apply (LAA).

It could be due to a variety of causes, including the fact that you did not provide a valid test number in your EOI or that your test is no longer valid.

You obtained LAA to apply for the MPNP as part of the strategic initiative, but you failed to furnish the authorities with the legitimate invitation number.
