How Manitoba’s System Works ?

Immigration candidates must lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) with Manitoba immigration department if they wish to receive an invitation under either of the Skilled Workers Overseas streams or Skilled Workers in Manitoba.

Candidates are evaluated on human capital factors such as their language skills, work experience, educational qualifications, Manitoba ties, and other criteria. They are ranked out of 1,000 points.

Candidates under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba streams and Skilled Workers Overseas Category help the province address its economic needs.

If a candidate is residing abroad, they need to show they have ties or connections to Manitoba, such as having close family or friends in the province.

Previous Manitoba living experience or an invitation under one of the province’s immigration programs can also make a candidate eligible.

These candidates do not need to be living in the province when they lodged their application.

To be eligible under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream, you must meet certain requirements such as having a full-time and permanent job offer within Manitoba.

To receive Letters of Advice to Apply through the International Education Stream, a candidate must meet requirements such as being a graduate of an educational institution in Manitoba.
