The Mount Saint Vincent University is a higher education institution established in the year 1873. it is an institution in Halifax. This institution was formerly established as women’s college. The aim of this institution was established formerly to train women to become teachers. This institution began offering degrees in Arts, Music, Home economics etc in 1951. The admission of men to the university began in the year 1967. However, the ownership of the institution was transferred to the Board of Governors by the sisters in 1988.
