British Columbia provincial government has issued 147 invitations to skilled workers and international graduates in the latest BC PNP Tech Pilot draw.
The April 7 draw featured invitations via four (4) streams of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program.
Minimum scores were eighty-five (85) for all four streams. The featured streams were:
- SI – Skilled Workers
- SI – International Graduate
- EEBC – Skilled Workers
- EEBC – International Graduate

The BC PNP Tech Pilot has been extended into 2020 after its first launch in 2017. It presently has a list of twenty-nine (29) target occupations with relaxed duration requirement.
BC PNP draws targeted specifically at tech workers started in May 2017. The province has a flourishing technology industry with some big companies of the tech world basing themselves in British Columbia.

- The job offer must be for one of the twenty-nine (29) targeted occupations
- The job offer have to be for at least one-year duration
- The job offer have to be valid for at least 120 days at the time of application

A coveted provincial nomination effectively assures selection under the Canada Express Entry System, worth additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.
British Columbia immigration department recently announced it will stop releasing scores for guaranteed Invitations to apply via the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program.
Instead, the province says applicants can see the scores required by checking the draw details published each week since 2016 when it first launched its version of Expression of interest immigration.
