New Scholarships Announced For International and domestic Students In Canada.

Global University Systems Canada offers one year’s financial support to both international and domestic students at the University of Canada West, Toronto School of Management, and Language Gallery to assist students to get a respected qualification and progress their individual careers.

The Live Our Vision Education – or LOVE – scholarships will be granted based on academic merits, leadership skills and community development, assisting students to gain industry-relevant higher education.

The scholarships are established to be accessible to as many students as possible, delivered in collaboration with Global University Systems’ (GUS) broader development plan, reports The Pie.

“Canada is a main destination for higher education and is an interesting reality for students looking to begin a career,” Chief Academic Officer Maurits van Rooijen told The Pie.

“This scholarships will give domestic and international students alike the opportunity to gain valuable industry-relevant experience for a variety of sectors, bringing them nearer to local and global businesses.”

Canada is gaining popularity as a major study abroad destination, known for its numerous post-graduation employment opportunities and a stable economy and political climate.

Living costs around CAD$15,000 (US$11,700) per year according to QS Top Universities. This contrast the estimated US$14,700 worth of living costs per year to study in the United States alone.

GUS institution are also increasing their network for international students by working with international universities. This should increase opportunities for both foreign and Canadian students to study at partner institutions.

Toronto School of Management has signed a memorandum of understanding with South China Business School from Guangdong school of Foreign Studies to provide joint program in tourism and hospitality, business and language trainings.

The Language Gallery Canada has also established a partnership with Justo Sierra, an education institution with nine campuses in Mexico. Cyndi McLeod, CEO of GUS said the partnership would enable degree graduate to explore MBA programme at the University Canada West.

“[These partnerships] show that our institutions are becoming more and more appealing for prestigious partners,” McLeod added.

“We’ll continue partner to grow our network and presence in Canada and beyond, to establish more opportunities for our students.”
