NorQuest College is a publicly funded community college in Edmonton, the capital city of the Canadian province of Alberta. In 1965, the college was officially established by the Government of Alberta with the primary objective of providing untrained and under-employed Albetans with the opportunity to develop skills required in an industrialized workforce. NorQuest College In Edmonton was formally Alberta Vocational College (AVC). The student body is approximately 10,500 full-time or part-time credit students, and approximately 5,400 non-credit or continuing education students. Approximately 1,000 students graduate each year. The AVC consisted of four academic upgrading classrooms in 1965, a space housing 60 business education students, a barber shop, a beauty culture lab, and a welding and equipment maintenance shop. Tuition Offered At NorQuest College
Tuition payers, applicants funded through student loans, and applicants without a confirmed funding agency sponsorship are required to pay a non-transferable tuition deposit to hold a seat in a program once admission is offered. The tuition deposit is applied to the first term’s tuition.
- Domestic (Canadian/permanent resident) student tuition deposit: $400 (CDN)
- International student tuition deposit: $1000 (CDN)
- Students who cancel their enrolment at least 30 days prior to the start date of their program are eligible for a 50% refund. After the date, the entire tuition deposit is non-refundable.
