NSCAD University Scholarships for International Students

When you apply for admission to NSCAD by the early deadline of March 1, you are automatically considered for Entrance Scholarships. The current range of individual entrance scholarships is $500 to $6000 and some awards are renewable for each of four years of study, making our top award approximately $25000! After each year of study at NSCAD, more scholarships will be available for application by qualified students.

The university awards about $100,000 annually to students, with more than 90 internal scholarships and bursaries available per academic year. External funding can also top $100,000 per year, with outside scholarships such as the Harrison McCain Scholarships in memory of Marion McCain, the Canada Graduate Awards, and other financial aid options.

The Doris Teasdale Scholarship

This award is designed to support fine Arts students. It has a value of $1000.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must

  • Demonstrate a high level of academic achievement
  • have completed 60 credits

  • Have an interest in drawing and painting

Saint Mary’s University

Saint Mary’s University campus has three well-furnished residence buildings for students who wish to stay in their facilities. They are Loyola Residence, Rice Residence, and Vanier Residence.

There are other conveniences for students who choose Saint Mary’s University residence like Dockside Dining and Cafeteria, The Gorse brook Lounge, Patrick Power Library, Student Centre Cafeteria, Health Services, and others. Students who have opted for housing at Loyola and Vanier residence must choose their meal plan.

University of King’s College

University of King’s College provides the following amenities to students who choose their residence four meal options, an eight-month lease for stay, internet connection, well-furnished rooms with mini-fridge, etc.

Atlantic School of Theology

The Atlantic School of Theology offers large and small single-room accommodation for students with the lowest rates for university residence in Halifax. The residence will be provided access to AST’s library.

Accommodation options include single and double rooms, apartments with a sitting room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom for parents with children. It also includes a shared kitchen and dining room for all residents on each floor.

Off-campus housing

There is an option for off-campus at the Granville Hall offers off-campus living options for international students. Students can choose between single and double occupancy options.

Each floor has common areas, washrooms, kitchen to provide complete comfort and a secured environment. Students can also choose from the meal option provided to them.

Admission requirements for international students at NSCAD University

Ans. Before an international student admission into NSCAD University, the applicant must fulfill the following requirements:-
