Ontario issues nearly 1000 notifications to candidates with CRS scores as low as 439. The candidates were invited to apply for Ontario immigration in a huge draw under the province’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream.

August 15, 2019, draw was the main part of several of draws information released on the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program website.

Canada’s most populous province issued 997 Notifications of Interest under the HCP stream to applicants scoring between 439 and 465 points.

The draw was targeted at candidates with a job offer who had submitted profiles between August 15, 2018, and August 15, 2019. Ontario has now sent out 6,958 Notifications of Interest to HCP applicants during 2019.

  • 0621 Retail and wholesale trade managers
  • 1111 Financial accountants and auditors
  • 3012 Registered psychiatric nurses and registered nurses
  • 0111 Financial managers
  • 1114 Other financial officers
  • 0651 Managers in personal and customer services, n.e.c

Though the province of Ontario began releasing information about its draws at the beginning of 2019, it had not released any update since the end of May.

The previous HCP draw was conducted on March 26, when the province sent out a sum of 779 invitations in two targeted streams.

The first stream focused on applicants with a job offer in Ontario who had profiles in the Express Entry Pool and have met all HCP requirements.

Under this stream, 480 applicants received invitations with scores in the between of 351 to 446. Those invited submitted their Canada Express Entry profiles between January 1 and August 26, 2019

Ontario Express Entry Requirements: Human Capital Priorities Stream?

To be eligible applicants must have:

  • Pending application or have a profile under the Federal Express Entry system;
  • At least One (1)-year of full time, or its equivalent work experience under NOC occupation level 0, A or B;
  • Canadian equivalent undergraduate degree, Masters degree, or PhD;
  • Minimum CLB level 7 in IELTS general exam;
  • Indicate intention to live in the Province of Ontario;
  • At least 400 points under the Federal Express Entry CRS System.
