Ontario immigration is set to open registration for the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream on the 21st of October.
Immigration candidates require a current job offer and an up-to-date Employers Form, in order to apply for this Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) expects a massive number of users to access the portal.
“Due to the massive number of users expected to access the portal, applicants may encounter a high-volume message page or be placed on a priority queue. If this happens, it is not a technical error and you may not need to contact the program,” the OINP says in a media briefing.
The system will automatically close once the threshold for registrants has been met. Normally, this happens under twenty-four (24) hours or within the same day as the stream opens.
How To Apply Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream
To register, you have to visit the OINP e-Filing Portal directly from the government’s Employer Job Offer: Foreign Workers stream webpage. Click on the button ‘Submit an application’.
Please note that you have to use a desktop or computer device, as mobile devices, such as tablets and cell phones, are not supported by the e-Filing system.
During registration, the Ontario immigration department says to pay careful attention when entering your details such as date of birth. The correct format in the e-Filing Portal is DD/MM/YYYY. It is very important to use the correct format because if you make a mistake, the immigration department will not allow you to change it.
This application window is meant only for the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream. Applications for the Employer Job Offer: International Students and Masters Graduate streams will not be opened tomorrow.
Current job offer and up-to-date Employer Form required
Your job offer must be existing and current when you apply. New applications will not be carried out pending a potential return to work date. All required documents must be added to the application such as an up-to-date job offers with a definitive and imminent start date.
You need to lodge the most recent version of the Employer Form, which must be completed and dated no earlier than Oct. 21, 2020. Although the Employer Form shows that it must be lodged within six months from the date of signing, the details contained in the Employer Form must be genuine and current.
If you lodge an Employer Form completed and dated prior to October 21, 2020, your application will be rejected and returned as incomplete. Your application will also be returned as incomplete if you do not provide a current job offer.
If you successfully register, you will have fourteen (14) days to complete and lodge the application. You can use this time to upload an up-to-date Employers Form. The OINP will not provide extensions to this fourteen (14)-day period.
Ontario immigration office has revised the “Regulatory Compliance Information” section B of the Employer Form to shows whether the employer’s business is presently compliant under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000.
Employers should carefully check the information listed in the Employer Form, to confirm that all responses are correct. This will help prevent delays in processing your application.
If you experience technical issues while using the OINP e-Filing portal, you can reach out to the OINP directly at [email protected]. Add a screenshot displaying the time and date stamp, and include information about how the error occurred.
The OINP intends to Introduced an Expression of Interest system for applicants in this stream in 2021.
