Prince Edward Island Express Entry Category
The PEI PNP’s Express Entry Category is linked with the federal Express Entry system.
Express Entry manages the applications for three economic-class immigration streams: Federal Skilled Trades Program, Federal Skilled Worker Program, and Canadian Experience Class.
Eligible candidates are assigned a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for their age, education, work experience, and language proficiency in English and French.
Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination are granted an extra 600 points toward their CRS score and are practically assures an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in future Express Entry draw.
EOI profiles are granted points based on the province’s unique points grid. The highest-scoring applicants are then invited to apply through monthly draws.
The PEI PNP did not provide an explanation of how many Express Entry and Labour Impact applicants were invited, nor the minimum EOI score requires for each category.
Prince Edward Island Labour Impact Category
The Labour Impact Category is for foreign citizens who have a valid job offer in Prince Edward Island and have support from their Canadian employer. It is divided into three streams: Critical Worker, Skilled Worker, and International Graduate.
Candidates in this category must also lodge an EOI profile in order to be considered for a provincial nomination via the Labour Impact Category.
Prince Edward Island Business Impact Category
The Twenty-Seven (27) candidates who were invited through the Business Impact Category on October 15 needed a minimum EOI score of 184.
These invitations were featured under the Work Permit Stream, which is for foreign businessmen who wish to own and run a business in PEI.
