The Royal Military College is located in the heart of Ontario in Canada and is a degree-awarding institution training military officers. The college was founded in 1876 and empowered by the Royal Military College of Canada Degrees Act, 1959 to Award degrees in science, arts, and engineering. RMC prepares officer cadets and non-Canadian or international students for a career in the profession of arms and leadership issues. The college offers several scholarship opportunities to both local and international students. The Royal Military College scholarship offers students the opportunity to apply for money based scholarships and bursaries.
RMC also train, develop and educates its students for future leadership careers in Canada and beyond. The programs are offered both on-campus and by distance learning in both English and French languages. The Royal Canadian Naval College Class of ’46 Scholarship
This scholarship is conferred to the graduating Regular Force member of the Naval Environment with the best academic average in a post-graduate programme. (during Spring).
Canada Graduate Scholarship
This scholarship is non-renewable and the cost is $17,500 for One year. The scholarship helps to support students who demonstrate a high level of achievement in undergraduate and early graduate studies. To qualify for this graduate scholarship, applicants must complete and submit an application via the Research Portal.
War Studies Scholarship
The Barry D. Hunt Memorial Fund and Royal Military College of Canada support the development of top-rated scholars in the interdisciplinary program of War Studies through a variety of scholarships tenable at the RMC of Canada that offer tuition assistance to graduate students engaged in Masters or Doctoral programmes.
Security and Defence Management and Policy Scholarship
Royal Military College of Canada promotes the development of high-calibre instruction in the area of Defence Management and Policy in support of professional development in the officer corps of the Canadian Forces. A variety of scholarships are available at the RMC of Canada to provide tuition assistance for civilian graduate and military students engaged in the Master’s degree programme.
Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship Competition
The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships program is created to support international world-class students pursuing doctoral degrees at universities in Canada. The scholarship awards $50,000 each year for three years. The program is available to both local and international students. Students must be selected by the Canadian university at which they plan to study. The 2018-2019 competition was launched on June 15, 2019, and the nomination deadline will be on November 1, 2018, at 20:00 ET. Please note that some institutions may have different internal deadlines.
Ontario Trillium Scholarships
The Ontario Trillium Scholarships (OTS) program is an important initiative to bring a top or world-class international students to Ontario for PhD studies. Students interested in these Scholarships are encouraged to express their interest in the competition to the graduate program chair when applying for admission to Royal Military College. A qualified international applicant must be selected for the scholarship by the Graduate Chair of the admitting program.
Milton Fowler Gregg VC Memorial Trust Fund Bursary
This bursary is in memory of Brigadier, The Honourable M.F. Gregg, VC, is offered yearly to those students enrolled in the Royal Military College Division of Graduate Studies and Research whose programmes will include environmental international affairs studies or international affairs. Normally, the student should not be in receipt of the full Department of National Defence financial support for these studies. The bursary is funded by the Royal Canadian Regiment Trust (RCGT) and is awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of the Division of Graduate Studies and Research. (November)
