Scholarships At Greater Arbutus Business Association (GABA), Canada is on for all interested students. GABA is delighted to extend another opportunity to graduating high school seniors to apply for our annual scholarship.The one-time scholarships will be awarded to students who will attend a two or four-year college on a full-time basis. The Committee will determine the number and dollar amounts of the scholarships.
If you are still in high school and have an interest in some community service, you are in luck as the Arbutus Arts Festival is coming soon. Many opportunz ities are available there and elsewhere in Arbutus. Contact Terry Nolan at 410-242-9177 or [email protected]Â for more details.

Arbutus College of Communication Arts, Business & Technology is a vibrant place of learning where students with different professional and cultural backgrounds prepare for jobs in a new economy. Established in April of 2002, our school is affiliated with the PCTIA (Private Career Training Institutions Agency of British Columbia), Royal Roads University (RRU), and International House (IH).

The GABA has provided scholarships to graduating high school seniors in recognition of their volunteer efforts on behalf of the community for many years.

2017 Scholarships:
Last year, the Greater Arbutus Business Association provided scholarships to graduating high school seniors in recognition of their volunteer efforts on behalf of the community for many years. We were delighted to honor three awardees who received grants.
Andrew Eisenhardt – A Catonsville resident, will be attending UMBC in media and communication.
Kavya Kavanakudy – Will be attending UMBC as a Computer Science and Psychology Minor.
Emma Olszewski – Will be attending Mount Saint Mary’s University.
Rachel Sheubrooks –  Will be attending DeSales University in the fall.
Students who receive the GABA scholarship award have typically volunteered for activities including the Arbutus Arts Festival, Community Clean-ups, and the Arbutus Santa House.

GABA has a number of community projects they embark on to see to the growth of Arbutus. With so many people walking around Arbutus, a street light banner is a perfect way to keep your business and your brand in people’s minds as they stroll through the Heart of Arbutus. By participating in the street light banner, you can advertise your business to a great audience at Arbutus.
No matter the type of business you run, whether you serve ice cream or own an accounting firm, people with all different reasons from all walks of life will be sure to see your name when you participate in the street light banner.
The street light banners are specific for the season and feature a lot of business names at the bottom showing the businesses that supported the event.
